Floods

What a nightmare! Obviously the problems I have had with the flooding is nothing compared to those homes that have 3ft of water in them or those who have lost there life. It has still been very disruptive and scary at times. It started on Monday when it took me and Michelle over 5 and half hours to get home from Castle Hill Hospital – we managed to get to Cranswick which was a miracle itself, but then every which way we turned we could not get to Driffield in Michelle’s Corsa….we tried the main road 2ft plus deep, Skerne, Wansford, North Frodingham, Southburn no way through. After all this effort Michelle’s Dad and work colleagues kindly rescued us and took us home via Southburn in a big transit van. I then came home to a flooded driveway and back garden. I really never thought such flooding was possible here are some pics:
