Michelle got married to Ben today! She looked amazing – and me, Becky, Jenny, Zoe, Darren, Danny and Gav had a fantastic night. Becky and Jenny stayed at our house and when they arrived Becky was a little sensitive – due to her celebrating turning 21 the day before. We had a BBQ and some cake before going to the night do to celebrate Becky turning 21 and we then had a very funny night!! Matthew encouraged me to demonstrate the different shapes I can make with my tongue -not a pretty sight!
Celebrating continued: I had three birthday cakes all carrot cakes…hmm do you think that I must like carrot cake! I had 2 BBQ with my mum, Keith, Sandra, Jeff, Gavin, Matthew, Pagan, Fergus, Andrea, Andy and Amy, before going out in Driffield – where we met up with James, Keeley, Jo and Mark. It was a very funny night.
I had a fantastic birthday! The actual day Gavin and I spent the day at the beach with woody and a picnic (we actually had the picnic at home as it was to cold!). I then went out for a lovely meal to Skidby Mill with Gavin, my mum and Keith – I really like it there.
I am absolutely loving my placement! I am sad to say that I only have 6 weeks left. These six weeks are going to be very busy and because I am going to be working rather a lot over the next few weeks I think that my site may get a little neglected. This will mainly due to the fact that I won’t actually be doing anything ‘but work’ so there won’t be a lot to put on it – other than me completing a critical literature review on preventing eating disorders and a professional development plan of my future role as a qualified staff nurse alongside a minimum of 36 hours a week in placement not much will be happening. There may be one or two Woody pics if we get to the beach again and its not raining.
Andrea sent me some more pics of Amy today, it has only been a couple of weeks since I last saw her and she has grown so much.
I was busy cleaning the house when Gavin took Woody to his mums, where Wayne and Liz were visiting with their dogs Ben and Basil, and Sandra was looking after Fergus our very funny and clever nephew. Here are a few pics of just before I arrived:
